On January 21st, 2016, I decided to make a field recording of a half hour walk around my hometown of Chestertown, MD. i've always been intrigued with using natural soundscapes and interspersing music throughout. i feel like this type of field recording-based ambient music has so much more power to transport the listener to somewhere, and yet drift into the background seamlessly whenever the brain decides it needs to focus attention elsewhere. the music was made by guitar and keyboard being looped and treated live with a litany of pedals and i think the pieces married well to the field recording. i'm in love with my town even though there are bittersweet memories attached to nearly every single square inch of it and i think i encapsulated those feelings in this album. enjoy!
